Thank you to the many family, friends and community who generously supported Thomas during 2011. Your contributions helped sustain continuous learning throughout the year through personalized, skilled therapy aimed to improve Thomas’ gross, fine and oral motor skills.
During March, Thomas had the privilege to return to Ability Camp, a facility devoted to intensively engaging children with cerebral palsy in functional movement throughout the day. For 5 weeks, Thomas worked hard participating in a variety of activities that engaged all motor skills and he made significant progress.
The developmental gains Thomas continues to make are directly attributed to the specialized learning he participates in, and it is his participation that is by far the most empowering and essential ingredient. While it is an enormous challenge, it is even a greater opportunity to engage a child’s learning and seek outcomes that remove one limitation at a time. It is always very worthwhile!
